Almost exactly one year ago I opened After Effects and started my journey into animation and motion design. It started with a few values logos and the thought that they could really be elevated with something extra—a skill I didn’t yet have at the time. I learned specifically for those graphics, but my journey continued onward. I took any excuse I could find to animate something, be it an email signature or social post. Soon, I was tasked with putting together massive event intros. Next, an explainer video project brought me into the world of character animation. I’ll never forget breathing life into that very first character. That spark has led me to multiple explorations within my own personal projects as well.
