A SHARK WITH A COMB
Inspiration can come from so many places, but when you have a toddler you’re constantly inundated with cute scenarios. I thought it was so cute when my son would comb his shark bath toy’s hair, and so I envisioned one very defiant strand the shark couldn’t quite get at. It was a fun project for a weekend, and I also used it to experiment with a fairly unorthodox setup for the character. I’m not sure it worked as well as it should, but it was an interesting thing to try. This time everything was done in After Effects, as well. Typically, I draw in Illustrator and import, but this time I created the body and fins with tapered lines.
